Things. Episode 1: Sock

Things is a new original puppet spectacle that celebrates the overlooked objects that we interact with everyday and then discard without a second thought. In this first episode of Things we are imagining the alternative lives and complex relationships of a wooly sock. What is a sock to an earwig, a mouse or bacteria? How does the sock interact with and act on the world around them? Through a playful and foolish imagining of possibilities, we hope to expand our consciousness beyond human agency and allow what we perceive as inert to shine. For this purpose, we offer you a new take on the classic "raree" show. Things invites audiences to peek into a concealed box stage and spy on the unfolding of an enchanting and vibrant world, told through puppetry and object theatre.

This first episode of Things was presented at the Alderney Landing Farmer’s market as a part of Eastern Front Theatre’s Market Micro event in April 2024.
